Iconic Action Figures place Venus de Milo “In Motion” with Michaelangelo’s David, and Rodin’s The Thinker

The Table Museum has created a line of action figures based on iconic sculptures from Japanese toy manufacturer FREEing. In addition to “David” and “The Thinker” — available in both bronze and plaster models — the line features a “Venus de Milo,” complete with attachable arms.

I have written elsewhere in this blog about the dearth of women among action figures.  I would like to think that Venus de Milo did not need prosthetic limbs to put art history and women’s history “in Motion.”   Or to “link” Venus de Milo to Rodin’s The Thinker.
