Casting Call for three plays, Inaugural Festival, Until the Violence Stops: Halifax (HRM)

The Arts Section of The Chronicle Herald, Saturday, February 21, 2009, a casting call for three plays that are centerpieces of the inaugural festival, Until the Violence Stops: Halifax (HRM), June 1 to 14.

The plays are:
• Necessary Targets, about women and war, directed by Kate Wilkinson
• Anyone of Us: Words from Prison, which reveals the connection between women in prison and the violence that often puts them there, directed by Jan Morrison
• A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer, a collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrights, directed by Christine Daniels

The casting call for Saturday, Feb 21, 2009 takes place at the Women’s Council House, corner of Young Avenue and Inglis Street, auditions at 1:30 p.m. For information email katew@ns.sympatico.ca
